Castee ("we", "us") operates castee.fm and dash.castee.fm. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our podcast website builder.

Information we collect

• Account data: Email address, name, and workspace settings when you register.
• Podcast data: Public RSS feed content you import (episodes, metadata, artwork).
• Usage data: Pages visited, feature usage, referral information, device details, and anonymous or pseudonymous analytics on our marketing site.
• Payment data: Processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers.

How we use information

• Provide and improve the Castee service
• Publish and host your static podcast website
• Send transactional emails (verification, publish notifications)
• Analyze aggregate usage to improve the product

Analytics and service providers

We use Simple Analytics for cookieless aggregate traffic measurement, Contentsquare for product-experience analytics, DataFast for site and crawler analytics, and Affonso for affiliate attribution. Affonso may store attribution for up to 30 days. We also use service providers for hosting, email, authentication, and payments. These providers process information for us under their applicable agreements.

Cookies

We use essential storage for authentication and security. Simple Analytics is cookieless. Contentsquare and DataFast provide website analytics, and Affonso may use attribution storage for up to 30 days. Browser or extension controls can be used to restrict non-essential storage.

Legal bases and retention

We process account and service data to perform our contract with you, security and aggregate operational and analytics data for our legitimate interests where permitted by applicable law. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security.
